 Neales Direct Services: Waste Management for local authorities
 
Neales Direct Services division is specifically for local authority works and currently provides highly efficient site operations to a number of councils who are part of the £2bn Lancashire Waste Partnership PFI. The services involve the management and operation of two waste transfer stations, one at Middleton, Morecambe and the other at Preston. The total quantity of waste that can be accepted at each site is just less than 75,000 tonnes per annum. Household waste of 1.4m people in Lancashire is delivered into the transfer stations by local authority collection vehicles, tipped and then bulked before its journey onto one of the two UR-3R™ facilities at Leyland and Thornton.
