Clayton hall is the key to Neales operation. This 76 acre sand quarry in Chorley hosts our recycling and material recovery facility and landfill site. The facility can handle up to 149,000 tonnes of waste per annum. The site was one of the first non hazardous disposal facilities in the UK to be awarded a Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) permit.
All dry waste collected by Neales is delivered to the facility for recycling and recovery. The Mechanical Biological Treatment process and screening machinery identifies and segregates specific types of recoverable wastes - metal, paper, plastic, cardboard, timber, inerts and hardcore.
We also offer a composting facility on site for all green waste providing an environmentally friendly means of dealing with organic waste.
We continue to develop our recycling facilities at Clayton Hall by exploring new technologies to sustain high recovery rates for the future.
