Company Background

Neales Waste Management was established in 1991 by Matlyn Investments, a subsidiary of the Walker Family Trust. Independently owned and operated, Neales operates throughout the North West of England with its head office based in Blackburn, Lancashire.

In the early years Neales Waste Management grew from providing Skip services to a wide range of waste collection, waste disposal and recycling services. In 1996 Neales Waste Management’s Holding Company acquired Quercia Ltd a 76 acre sand quarry in Chorley, Lancashire. Following this acquisition the core business of providing non hazardous waste collection, disposal and recycling services developed to include specialist divisions; most notably Neales Farm Services, Neales Data Shred, Hazardous Waste Services and On Site Waste Services / Facilities Management.

In early 2010 Neales Direct Services was established specifically for contracts with Local Authorities. Following this, the organisation started producing energy-from-waste (EfW) through the harvesting of methane gas at Quercia.

Currently, Neales Waste Management and Quercia handle over 270,000 tonnes of recyclable material and general waste a year. Our cost effective, bespoke and compliant integrated waste management services are provided across a variety of sectors. As both organisations continue to grow our investment in technology, commitment to best practice and emphasis on safety remains.
