Christmas Donation 2017- Derian House Childrens Hospice

7w7l NBM 400x400

With the spirit of the holidays we often send out cards to our varied and valued customer base, however this year we have invested the £300 cost elsewhere in the form of a donation to Derian House, a great cause that is committed to caring for, comforting and supporting children and families going through the darkest times imaginable and a cause that at this time of year is sure to make the Christmas of the many people it serves that extra bit merrier, even in the face of such adversity.

We are always proud to support companies, institutions and charities across the North West by assisting with their waste challenges to both satisfy legal requirements and satisfy their own sustainability targets, Derian House is no exception to this and we feel privileged to continue assisting the fantastic hospice not only in the fantastic work it does in such tenable circumstances, but also in handling its waste as cost effectively and environmentally sustainable as possible.

Please visit https://www.derianhouse.co.uk/ find out more about Derian House including how easily you can donate.

Since 2001, we have provided complete waste and facilities management to the 86 acre Leyland Truck manufacturing hub which proudly creates 15,000 trucks each year.

This includes us providing full time on-site staff to manage operational cleaning and waste handling on site, and most importantly in December includes providing Christmas trees!

Merry Christmas Guys!

Food waste: Food for thought

World Food Day 2017 was over 4 days ago, this means that most of the tasty goods made to mark the event will now be due for the bin, but what could you do to better dispose of your company’s food waste?

We offer dedicated collection services where food waste is collected and processed via Anaerobic Digestion- this produces renewable energy used to sustainably power UK homes and businesses, and produces a high-quality fertiliser used to grow more produce!

Celebratory Conference Success

Safety doesn’t happen by accident, which is why Neales Waste Management understands achieving over 2 million working hours with Zero harm should be celebrated.

This impressive health and safety statistic was just this month achieved by Workplace Solutions for their incredible site and facilities management work at EDF’s Heysham Nuclear Power Station.

We joined in the celebrations by participating in an interactive workplace conference, this gave all persons that work on site chance to learn more and ask about the waste that they produce and what process it goes through to make its way onto recycling facilities or on to fuelling cement kilns in Denmark.

"It was great to engage with so many employees and talk about how and why we treat waste in the way that we do, an enjoyable and educational experience had by all”- Jeff Lawson, Account Manager
